Caring For Your Jewellery
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Each piece of jewellery is carefully crafted by hand in our workshop. We use high-quality materials for our jewellery that will last well if handled and maintained with reasonable care.
We recommend avoiding contact with salt, chlorinated water, moisturisers, fragances and sweat.
When you aren’t wearing your jewellery, store it separately from other jewellery where possible to avoid tangling and to limit abrasion with other materials.
Silk Thread
The silk thread is a natural fibre that is durable though not indestructible. Like a well-worn pair of jeans or a favorite t-shirt, you may find your silk cord jewellery take on a new colouration and will wear over time with extended use.
Due to the everyday activities we subject our hands to, bracelets will see much more wear compared to necklaces. Take your jewellery off when you shower, swim, and handle chores around your home to help maintain the colour of the silk cord and the condition of the beads.
Wearing your jewellery thoughtfully and not just continuously through all moments of your life will allow your piece to last for many years.
If you find the cord has twisted on itself or around another bracelet, apply a small amount of water directly the section of the cord that is twisted and smooth out the kink between your fingers. Allow cord to dry.
Japanese Beads
The Japanese beads are made of glass and are particularly fine. Placing any heavy objects on top of your jewellery may crush these small beads.
